NIGHT AT MARKET is an initiative integrated into the Mértola Food Network, which aims to sensitize the local community and visitors to have local, seasonal, clean and healthy food! Consuming local products is an act of citizenship, a support for the local economy and a healthier and more ecological way to consume food. Each initiative addresses a food theme or local product and to help the conversation local experts or producers are invited in a common effort to empower the community for more critical and conscious consumption.

NIGHT AT THE MARKET takes place once a month at Mértola Municipal Market or S. Domingos Mine. In each initiative, there is good local cuisine to enjoy, good conversation and good music. To participate, just show up and if you can, please bring a local, seasonal product to share: a wine, a cheese, a sausage, a jam or some fruit. If you prefer you can cook something related to the topic of conversation.

Because eating is culture, we invite everyone to join in and celebrate with us by sharing a meal with friends!
